The Halo Garden Of Butterflies

What a caterpillar calls the end of the world, God calls a butterfly

The Halo Garden of Butterflies has been created in order for you to dedicate a butterfly in memory of your child. Dedicated butterflies are not linked to children memorial websites, therefore, you need not have a memorial website in order to dedicate a butterfly.

Here at The Halo Garden, we believe that the butterfly is by far the most wonderful of all insects that God ever created to bestow upon His earth. It's natural grace, beauty, and symbolism of new life, makes the butterfly an icon in which bereaved parents can use to help to maintain their sanity. In creating the butterfly, God is able to give us a little clue as to the link between Heaven and Earth. Butterflies represent the never-ending cycle of life, death and rebirth. The sheer existence of the butterfly confirms that, life does indeed exist, after our earthly shell has departed.

The butterfly is historically known as being symbolic of rebirth after death, and we can easily relate the human life cycle as being very similar to that of the caterpillar emerging into a beautiful butterfly:

  • Butterfly: An adult female butterfly lays an egg on a plant. The egg then hatches into a caterpillar. Eventually, the caterpillar encases itself in a chrysalis, otherwise known as it's cocoon. While in its cocoon, the caterpillar transforms. A short while later, the caterpillar then emerges from its cocoon into its new life, in the form of a butterfly.

  • Humans: A fertilized egg is planted into our mother's womb. The fertilized egg grows and results in human birth. Upon dying, we are like the caterpillar in its cocoon. Christians from all over the world believe that upon dying, our soul separates from its earthly body. Our souls are born unto eternal life, to forever reside in God's great wonderous kingdom called Heaven.

The Halo Garden of Butterflies has several pages available for you to visit. Each page displays butterflies that have been dedicated in memory of a child.

In our efforts to keep our butterfly dedication pages up and running in an efficient manner, the arrangement of dedicated butterflies are set, and are unable to be moved. Due to this, dedicated butterflies are not listed in alphabetical order.

In order for you to more easily locate your child's butterfly, an alphabetical listing by last name has been included in the following drop down menu's. By clicking on your child's name, you should be directed not only to the page in which your child's dedicated butterfly is displayed, but you should also be taken directly to the row in which your child's butterfly is displayed.
